Planning: Sharing Access to a Plan

From the Plan Summary page you can choose to Share this Plan from the menu options on the left.

When you choose to share a Plan you will be given a list of all of the Users in your account.

Your own name will be in the list, flagged as being the Owner of the Plan.

You can set who you want to share your Plan with, and what level of access you want to give them.

  • None
The User will not see this Plan in their list. They will not be aware that the Plan exists and they have no access to it.

  • Viewer
A Viewer cannot make changes to the Plan, but they can look at it.

  • Contributor
This access level can add or change Holders and Candidates, but they cannot change the shape of the Plan, they can’t add or delete Positions.

  • Controller
Has full access to the Plan. They can add, change or delete positions and they can add Holders and Candidates.

Hints:

  1. You cannot restrict the access of Administrators. They will be able to access your Plans if they choose to do so.
  2. If a User has been created by the Administrators as a Reader, you can only decide whether to give them no access to your Plan (None) or to let them look at it (Viewer). You cannot upgrade a User’s overall access level within a Plan.
